we attempt to fill the hole in our soul
with sex & drugs & rock and roll
religion television messages
tied to pigeons as if we
were in prison but
we were born
with holes
holes
to
breathe
to speak to hear
to give back what
we cannot use
to see into
what is
the veritable
connectedness
of all things & times
connected but not the same
vive la differance
the gap
holy
holes
no preference for
consciousness over matter
matter over the great nothing
no logic that says this must be first
Zeus & Poseidon & Hades came at once
connected by holes
holy holes
not a lack
but a hook
Moebian
a cat
in a
gap
jumping
over its moon
so many holes
in a Swiss cheese
cigar poking out sighs
a hokey pokey
make friends
with your
holes
